Our Mission

Since 1923, the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce has served as a community partner, advocate, and resource for the local business community. It has over 450 members, consisting of businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals, from throughout Transylvania County. The Chamber’s mission is to “support its members through advocacy, promotion, local engagement and education in order to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality of our community.”

The Chamber serves its members in three primary ways. It provides good/timely information, it provides networking and promotional opportunities, and it serves as an advocate. Click here for a list of member benefits.

The Chamber also focuses on certain programs that are designed to serve the community. These include coordinating the Candidates Forum, spend local initiatives, coordinating the Downtown Brevard Christmas Parade, supporting local schools and community organizations, and more.
