Member Programs & Services
The Chamber hosts a GALA in January to celebrate its members and allow leadership to look back at the past year and ahead to the coming one. The event includes a reception as well as a program featuring a number of awards and recognition of the previous year’s sponsors.
Business After Hours
Scheduled the second Tuesday of the month, from 5:30-7:00pm, 100+ members come together at the host member’s location for a networking reception. There is a brief program that includes recognition of the host, announcements from the Chamber, an opportunity for new members to introduce themselves, and door prizes. Hosting this event is ideal for a business or organization who wants to show off its facilities. For more information, including applicable guidelines, click HERE
The annual Expo is one way we can offer great value to businesses and the community. Our goal is to showcase as many Chamber businesses as possible to as many community members as possible in a fun and meaningful way.
A candidate’s forum allows candidates seeking local/state public office to express their views openly so community members can make informed voting choices. The Chamber hosts this event, and engages local media via press releases, advertising, and on-site attendance, as a public service.
Held the fourth Tuesday of the month, from 8:00-9:00am, and held at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center. Members network over coffee and muffins and enjoy a word from the sponsor and featured speaker, typically a public official at the local or state level. Attendance is usually 40-50 (max of 50). Elected Officials Breakfast
This is an opportunity for the business community to engage with one of our elected officials. The event is planned by the Chamber Governmental Affairs Committee and in 2015 the well-received event involved a presentation by an expert in North Carolina politics.
This member-driven program focuses on relationship based referrals. Members meet bi-weekly to exchange business information and leads, and actively promote fellow members between meetings. There is a limited number of spots for the group and per industry category.
Mega Networking is the business equivalent of speed dating! The event begins with a reception for relaxed networking, followed by a focused networking program where professionals share key information about their business to a series of small groups. Typical attendance is 50+.

The Chamber provides a number of educational opportunities for members to learn from experts in marketing, social media, leadership, and more. These are free to members.
Shhhhh…..it’s a secret. Chamber staff and member ambassadors visit an unknowing member with balloons, snacks, and more, as a way of reminding our membership how much we appreciate them.
